Surely, it offers a fantastic value for the money and it’s not overpriced at all. ![]() When it comes to pricing, this isn’t the cheapest acoustic guitar in the world, but it’s still quite affordable. The tuners used in that model also feature an interesting oldschool vibe. It is also worth mentioning that the Tim Armstrong Hellcat model looks absolutely beautiful too! There’s something really cool about that natural and vintage-style design. It also has a built-in tuner, so that’s an another great feature for all working musicians. What’s important, Fender equipped this model with the Fishman Tim Armstrong preamp which allows you to efficiently use that guitar during live performances. The neck is a big advantage of that model, because it allows you to practice for several hours without getting tired. What makes it so cool? Well, this particular model features a solid mahogany top with mahogany back and sides, a comfortable maple neck and an easy-playing walnut fingerboard. ![]() This is a really unique, vintage-style guitar which is completely different than other acoustic models made by Fender. But Tim is a southpaw player, so I’d expect there to be one. I’m presuming there will be a left-handed version of this as well, although there is no mention of it on the Fender website. I think Fender could be onto a winner with this little acoustic, as on paper it all adds up quite nicely. Check out the demos below, and you’ll see what I mean when I say it sounds perfect for cracking out new songs. It has a similar vibe to the recent PRS Tonare Parlor models, which come in at around the same price point, but with more attitude. I will have to go check them out when they hit stores, as I really like the looks and specifications. It all lends itself to being a great little songwriter, and I could easily imagine myself bashing out new riffs on this acoustic. The vintage style frets should be great for chords, which is exactly what you want from an acoustic like this one. The guitar has a has a 25.3″ scale length and an 11.81″ fretboard radius, which in theory, adds up to a pretty comfortable playing experience.
